Teaching Philosophy:
I am certified in Evidence Based Vocal Pedagogy, relying on deep knowledge and understanding of the anatomy of singing in order to guide my students to their highest potential. Each body is different and I believe in empowering my students to learn how to use the different parts of their vocal mechanism to achieve their goals.
My studio is a safe place for folks coming from all walks of life. I aim to hold space for my students so they can express themselves as authentically as possible. I teach in a trauma-informed manner and place great emphasis on my students feeling as secure as possible during our time together.
About me:
I am a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, composer, and bandleader from Montreal, QC with a B.Mus from Humber College! I spent 7 years studying music at a post-secondary level, and have over 15 combined years of performance and teaching experience. I love finding ways to fit concepts to my student, rather than approaching my teaching with a one-size-fits-all mentality. I place a deep emphasis on positive teacher/student dynamics, as I believe this is the best way to promote a positive and fruitful learning environment. My mission is to empower my students to discover themselves and all they have to offer while guiding them along the way.
I currently work as a teacher, performer, producer, and songwriter. My knowledge in all of these fields informs her teaching on a daily basis.
